Sedona Travel Post

Only one word can describe my amazing spa getaway in the Red Rock Canyons of Sedona – unforgettable! A true spiritual journey, my recent trip to Mii Amo Spa was the perfect RX script for stress relief and overall wellness. Namaste!

ACCOMODATIONS

Mii Amo Spa is a wellness spa that’s located inside a 360 degree vortex canyon. The hotel is right in the middle, with red rock surrounding the area. The Native Americans consider this land sacred, making it a very spiritual location. There is a certain peace that can be felt just being inside the gorgeous, natural rock formation – the beauty is just surreal. All of these factors really add up, making it a perfect weekend getaway for total me-time and self rejuvenation. I’d definitely recommend this for a girl’s trip!

DINING

There are three restaurants on the property, and all the food has a big emphasis on natural, health-conscious and farm to table ingredients. They also offer a juice bar if you need a quick, healthy boost of energy before or after a spa treatment or yoga!
One of my favorite restaurants off the property was Mariposa, which had a Latin-inspired menu with ingredients grown in Arizona.

ACTIVITIES

The Pink Jeep tour is a must-try – we did the Sunset Tour through the natural park, it was pure magic! The views of the breathtaking landscapes are definitely something I won’t forget.
There’s no shortage of other outdoor activities as well, with hiking, yoga and star gazing being the most popular. There’s numerous hiking trails for exploring the local landscape. The hotel had a daily program posted, which showed activities for the day that guests could partake in.

And—we HAVE to talk about the spa services, one is more fabulous than the next! Each has a focus on energy work, clearing out of the bad vibes, and focusing on inner peace, healing and rejuvenation.

The Crystal Grotto room was by far my favorite, a place for daily meditation. There was one skylight above, and one large crystal fountain in the middle of the room. You enter barefoot, stepping on the clay ground, for a true connection to Earth.

If you are looking for a fun outdoor mall for some shopping time, visit the Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village – there’s great unique stores and it’s a perfect daytime activity.
