Just like you’d expect, Hawaii is a tropical masterpiece filled with delicious food, fun adventures and a ton of relaxing vibes!
The salty sea breeze and bright sunlight put you instantly in the “island mood” – if you love adventure, there’s TONS to offer (more on that later)…. but Hawaii’s also got top-notch hotels and award-winning eats. It’s a vacationer’s paradise!
The Westin Moana Surfrider in Honolulu is my top choice for hotels on O’ahu. The views, as expected, are amazing. With a pool overlooking the beach and great contemporary decor, you’ll feel right at “home”. I wasn’t able to stay in Honolulu for longer than a day – I really do want to visit again soon! Shopping was great outside the hotel, and lunch at the beach was just about perfect.
When in Maui, I love staying at the Four Seasons at Wailea. The sunsets here are simply gorgeous! In similar fashion to the Westin, the hotel is beachside with great views.
THINGS TO DO
Hawaii is all about adventure!!! If you’re up for a thrill, try out a helicopter ride above the Island’s mountains and waterfalls. This was a true experience I won’t forget, my favorite thing about this vacation! Being able to see the Jurassic Rock and jungle landscapes was breathtaking.
If you love biking, take a volcano bike ride tour down Haleakala – or, stop by the black sand beaches (so pretty!) for a great photo-op. Check out the sea turtles at Honokeana Cove – they’re super cute!
That Jurassic Rock looks familiar, no? 🙂
See sea turtles everywhere in Honokeana Cove!
The soothing smell of eucalyptus comes from these giant trees – they’re everywhere in the forests!
On the “Road to Hana” in Maui, there’s wide open fields filled with prairie grasses and wildlife. Take this all the way to Twin Falls (a string of natural waterfalls) for even more gorgeous sights.
Everyone knows that Hawaii is known for their tropical fruits – above, a fruit discovered by Paul Mitchell and used in his shampoos- an enzyme within it apparently is great for your hair!
You’re always sure to pass by the fruit stands and street-side surf vendors!
Chill on the beaches of Waikiki, or take in the city sights in a trolley!
A restaurant that you CANNOT skip is a meal at Mama’s Fish House in Maui.
Specializing in fresh-caught seafood with a tropic twist, everything tastes delish! Plus, night dining is so picturesque, cue the sunset.
Charley’s in Maui is a quirky, must-visit spot! It’s super famous, with many celebrities (like Willie Nelson and Like Wilson) going there for breakfast.
One more must-do is the Feast at Lele – part dinner and part live show (with fire!!!) it does not disappoint.
Until next time, Aloha!
